In the very near future, mankind is setting up a base in the center of the Shackleton center at the Moon's South Pole. Players lead space agencies working together to expand the human presence on the Moon. The mission is sponsored by 3 major corporations, each pursuing its own goals.
Shackleton Base: A Journey to the Moon is a Eurogame strategy game based on a modular sandbox system. The game box contains 7 unique Corporations (which each introduce their own challenges), but only 3 are chosen each game. Throughout the game you'll use your Engineers, Scientists and Technicians in the various areas of the board to achieve your objectives. The space agency with the most victory points at the end of the game will be declared the winner!

This game is awesome. The mechanics are a ton of fun, the variety with the corporations is amazing. The art style and components are both great. The teach can be tough, there are a lot of moving parts, but it makes sense once you play a round or so and it all comes together so smoothly.
Excellent game, loving every play of it.
I was really looking forward to this and it did not disappoint! Beautiful components, fantastic icon driven features to help game play. Worth every penny!
Haven't played it yet, but expect it will be as good as all the reviews say. Important thing to say here is that Pandasaurus was terrific. Very pleased with the pre-order process; product was shipped immediately upon release and received in short order thereafter. No tricks, no delays - just great service.
Thanks!
Official North America normal retail was scheduled for July-ish (for North America), it arrived in June (because they have North America rights), so happy. Pandasaurus also sold some clearance games and some company labeled stuff (water bottle, lanyard). Recommend ...

What the press is saying

There's very few downsides to this game for me. The core of this, I think, is well-laid out, and well-explainable, and just very fun.

...an absolute must for fans of medium-weight worker placement games, particularly at the maximum player count.

A clean, easy-to-grasp Euro game, with plenty of room to experiment with your approach, and a ton of variability with the seven included corps and asymmetric leader tiles.

It's brilliant. This might go down as your greatest designs of all time.

I can't really fault it at anything. I can't really put a finger on something I dislike.

For how complex it is, for how many moving parts there are, this is a very smooth experience.

It is a solid design that we truly appreciate, a game curated to handle a lot of modularity and replayability in its core structure. With its interesting use of different worker types, meaningful choices, and engaging gameplay, we can only praise this game.

As you know, we are suckers for quality game components... it features the thickest cardboard we've seen in retail releases and everything is neatly organized in storage boxes.
