The Game: Quick & Easy
The Game: Quick & Easy
Play a card, draw a card — that couldn't be easier, right?
Don't be fooled, though, because even though the title claims this game is quick and easy, The Game: Quick & Easy will not be easy to defeat. You can do so only as a real team! In more detail, to win you must play all fifty cards in the deck on the two discard piles. The deck consists of fifty cards, with cards coming in five colors numbered 1-10 in each color. Each player has a hand of two cards.
On a turn, you play one or two cards onto one or both of the two discard piles. On one pile, you must play a higher card that whatever the top card is, and on the other, you must play a lower card. The exception is that you can play any card on a discard pile if it's the same color as the current top card. Thus, on the ascending discard pile the cards played might be blue 1, red 2, gray 4, yellow 6, yellow 2 — and that drop down gives you breathing room in which to play more cards.

My friends and I loved this game. A great addition to the original. Fun, interesting and just enough thinking!
Firstly I love these cards, they are printed with some extremely bright and inviting colors that draw and keep your eyes focused on the game at hand. The skeletal characters depicted on each set of cards are in the realm of family friendly art. It reminds me of maybe some of the characters from the movie Coco, or similarly friendly children's art. It inspires an instant connection and comfortable familiarity with the well designed characters right upon opening up the box.The gameplay itself is as the title suggests; quick and easy. Players draw 2 cards and are working cooperatively to complete two sets of sequential numberings as they discard cards. Ascending from 1 to 10, and a second set descending from 10 to 1. You must play at least 1 card but do have the option of playing 2 if you wish and can play on one or both stacks. There is a "color matching" rule allowa you to reset the sequence backwards so that more turns may continue. If the ascending deck reaches 10 and is a yellow card, any yellow card may be played to lower the sequence to a new number and you begin building upwards again. This occurs likewise for the descending deck of cards. For as "easy" of a game as this is, I did find it rather challenging to actually complete and win the game. It took us 5 games initially before we synced up and were able to completely run through the entire deck which signals you've beaten the game. Of course we thought once we'd worked out our communication that future games would be certain wins, however this was not the case, our very next attempt had us fail in just a few plays of the cards. I found this both entertaining and frustrating in the very best sense of the word. I was happy that it was not a repeatedly winnable game and that sometimes the cards will just be stacked against you. Still, we found a lot of fun to be had in games that last rarely more than 10 minutes.I've added this to our small games collection, these are games we play on work nights or when we don't want to get into anything with huge setup times. We can play probably 6+ quick rounds of this in the time it would take for even some of our lighter board games to do one play, and still get just as much enjoyment out of the time we spent gaming. We've found it plays quite well at 2p and are excited to take it up to the 5 player count sometime in the future. The added communication between multiple players will certainly require several beginner games to once again get everyone synced up on what is a good flow for our group, but laughter and fun are sure to follow. Good game for such a small package, this one certainly surprised me with how eager I was to continue playing it.
Arrived quickly and in great condition. The game is super fun, quick and easy…so the name of “the game” is accurate!
Quick to learn, quick to teach, rapid play, fun cooperative game.
It sounds really easy and it is easy to understand but to win is very difficult but so much fun. The cards are so cute and unique and make losing worth it lol.

What the press is saying
It’s so easy to set up and go again, and games so quick that it’s so tempting to say ‘one more try’ after each loss.
Being able to match color to break the placement rule is much easier for novices to remember; the game is much more accessible.
This is such a great co-op card game and it only has 52 cards. I mean, wow!
If you and your group found The Game too hard you will definitely find Quick & Easy more forgiving but still a satisfying challenge.
It's not a kid's game. It's really slick. We played a bunch of times immediately.
I LOVED this game! So fast and simple and just plain fun. I could play this with anyone anytime.
