A Perfect Game

I don't see any flaws with this one. The art is amazing and highly thematic. The components are good quality. The game plays fast and is easy to learn but has a ton of possibilties on how a game can play out. And the whole thing just flows beautifully.I played this with my wife and she immediately asked me to leave it out so that we could play again the same weekend. If you like big gameplay in small packages this game is definiteily worth a try. Add it to your collection with Imperius, Conspiracy: Abyss, Grifters, Lost Cities, Coup, and Inheritors.

Clever and unique mechanic that is so easy to teach, yet deep and strategic

This game has gotten a lot of buzz and it is all warranted. When I read through the directions, I knew immediately that this was going to be incredible and I was not mistaken. The mechanics of this game are incredibly clever and interconnected. Everything flows perfectly and it can be easily learned and taught. The game's winning condition can be reached by making decisions that follow multiple paths and this is a trademark of an outstanding game. The footprint of the box is so small that it is hard to believe that the game has the feel and table presence of a much larger and epic board game. The components (which consist primarily of cards) are top rate. The game has got a nice set of replayable features. Although I have not yet utilized them, there is a set of artifacts that mix things up a bit, as well as some other variable rules. This board game is a fantastic experience and should most certainly be a part of every gamer's collection. The viking theme is not just "pasted on" but seems to make sense. To top it all off, the price point is amazing. Just buy this!

Beautiful Artwork

Really enjoyed our first playthrough of this game. Mechanics are simple enough to pick up on quickly, but the game does still require some planning and forethought as you move through. A previous reviewer likened this to Splendor and I have to agree.Note: We have not yet played with artifacts or advanced player boards. Even without those elements, I think this deserves a place on board game shelves! Knarr's straightforward mechanics, gorgeous artwork, quick gameplay, and small form factor will make this a game night classic.

Simple yet strategic

This game is my new favorite filler for game nights. It's not too long even with 4 players and is super easy to explain. While yes, it doesn't have the depth of some other strategic games of a similar realm, it offers enough to be interesting to replay it often enough. The art work is beautiful and the set up of the game doesn't take very long. I highly recommend this gem. It is also easy to carry anywhere since the box is super efficiently packed. One of my new favorites

Splendor Killer

Don't listen to the first review of this game. There are a multitude of ways to win in Knarr. For each person's desired method of winning, there is a counter measure to combat that. Add vikings to your crew in hopes of adding recruits, reputation, victory points, or bracelets that help you raid the treasures on lands you invade. Games don't overstay their welcome with game times running 20-30 minutes depending on how well you know the game and the amount of people. This is an absolute stunner of a board game.

Destinations Don’t Matter

This game is designed to gather Vikings to then get destinations but it’s not worth it. Half the game is worthless because you can just win by combining the Vikings. It’s not a full game and should have been playtested more for fun factor.
